Rick Riordan’s The Lost Hero goes on sale today! Check out Riordan’s webcast party at 7pm EST today!
Also: You can download a free e-book preview. Since Riordan’s book tour isn’t bringing him anywhere near Chicago (darn!) I downloaded the e-book, which thankfully was available and sensibly priced less than the hardback. And it’s e-lendable!
I surveyed my two Riordan-fans about paper-book vs. e-book. Dark Omen had no preference and Worm Burner (my tech-minded-child) was emphatically pro-e-book. He didn’t have to wait for me to make a trip to the bookstore, and he was reading it before he went to school this morning.
I think the e-revolution is old news for those two.
We're huge Rick Riordan fans in this house. I think I'll give this a try with my 10yo, see if he likes reading it on the Kindle.
We've been waiting for this one, too! But today is also t he day Jamnes Dashner's THE SCORCH TRIALS is released! I have been DYING for that one.
@Sherrie I'm quickly getting addicted to this "have it right NOW" thing with the e-books.
@Shannon I know! But I still have yet to read Maze Runner. Sigh.
hey! Glad you're out of the funky spell. I'm in one now, but it's b/c of events of WIP3…
Haven't read any Riordan, but I'm thinking about adding him to the TBR list… Thanks! :o)
@LTM If you read nothing else Riordan, read The Lightning Thief. 🙂
Love that cover. Will have to give him a whirl one of these days.
This looks good. I wonder if it's a sequel to the Pyramid story. It doesn't look it.
@Vicki He's a quick, funny read! 🙂
@Laura Not, it's more of a parallel story to the Percy Jackson series, but with different characters. 🙂
I'm down to the last fifty pages and absolutely loving this book. I think it's my favorite of his since the original Lightning Thief.
@MaryC Good to know! I still need to get it!
What is the reading level?
