I’ve finally added a new About Me page to the header of my blog. See up there? Click on that page tab that says “About Me and My Books” and you’ll find a mini-bio, summaries of my WiP’s, and information about my published novel Life, Liberty, and Pursuit.
Are you back? Good.
I figured I would open the floor to questions. Anything is fair game: silly to serious, writing-related to kid-book-related. Favorite writing book? Favorite cheese (yes, I have one)?
If there are no questions, I will be forced to make some up. Answers will be pondered and posted starting next week (1/13) because I already have some New Year Goodness lined up for this week. So…hit me your best shot!
Oh dear. I feel some Guitar Hero coming on …
And that’s totally me with the knee-high Seussian socks (um, I wish).
Hmmm, questions I will have to work on (when I'm not foolishly browsing blogs at nearly 1am), but the new About page is fantastic, love it!
@Amie I couldn't sleep last night either! Maybe too much excitement about the New Year … ๐
Great new page! ๐
@Michelle Thanks! ๐
The page looks great!
What was the first book you remember really catching your attention as a kid?
Star Wars or Star Trek? ๐
If you had ten minutes to save the world from a giant turtle, what would you do?
@Jemi and @Leisha You guys are going to make this fun! ๐
Why would a giant turtle want to destroy the world? I think he's just been misunderstood… How would you, Susan, find a way to communicate to the turtle that he may be causing some destruction so that he will quit? Do you speak Turtle?
The NASA employment caught my attention. Can you talk about it? (or if you tell me, will you have to kill me)
Sorry, but I have to know what your favorite cheese is…mine is Irish white cheddar. (YUM)
Happy New Year!
your new books sound fantastic! All the best w/the clone one and the mind readers… I suck at names, but I can't wait to read them! :o) <3
Oh, I'm going to have fun with the questions! ๐
@LTM Thanks! ๐
I've never included my title and premise of what I'm working on. Still debating on that end. I might this next time around.
What's been the biggest writing epiphany you've had that you remember?
@Laura This info's been up on my "About Me" page on my book website for a while, and they're also querying or on the way to that. I don't think I'd post something in the early stages. What do you think the downsides are?
Do you feel as a writer that non-writing world (e.g. family, friends, co-workers etc) just don't "get" you? What's the first reaction you get when you tell people you're an author? What kind of reaction do you get when you tell them you write SF for kids/teens?
