Just got off the phone with the independent producer who’s optioned Debt Collector for Virtual Reality.
1 – I will never get tired of saying that.
2 – He says there’s forward movement with the property – that a former V.C. (venture capitalist) with his own VR production studio is interested in producing a “sizzle reel” of DC using some VR architecture he has already for a hospital (those who haven’t read DC, it opens with a scene in a hospital where the MC kills an old man; yeah, it’s dark).
3 – some guy at the McDonald’s I’m sitting in while Mighty Mite takes his sailing lesson just asked, “Are you writing a book on that thing (the computer) or a term paper?”
ME: “A book.”
HIM: “Really? Well, that’s how that Harry Potter lady got started.”
Me: … … *don’t say it* *don’t tell him* *caves* “Yeah, I’m not going to be the next Harry Potter lady. But I’ve published a lot of books.”
HIM: “Wow. Uh. Okay.” He runs away. Fast.
