Creativity isn’t just a “nice to have” skill in a future where anything remotely routine will be automated. It’s a life skill that helps in almost every context. For problems ranging from “Why doesn’t my book sell?” to “How can I fix the dishwasher dispenser?” to “How do I make sure I’m eating a healthy diet?” being able to see creative solutions is the difference between despair, dirty dishes, and a shortened life and… the opposite of those things. Hope powers the x-ray vision of creativity, the faith that there *has* to be a solution, if only you can find it. If only you can think small enough or large enough, crazy enough or simple enough, bending all the rules except physics (and maybe even that)… this skill of creative VISION–a literal envisioning of possibilities that are not yet realities–and the relentless application of it, makes the superhuman possible.
