Each author was given a specific song to inspire their story. The collection includes eight professional authors (Darynda Jones, Susan Kaye Quinn, M. Pax, Amy Michele, Jessica Bell, Alex J. Cavanaugh, Ruth Long, Crystal Collier, C. Lee McKenzie), seven young aspiring authors and artists, and eight winners from the Epic Heroe’s Young Writer’s contest.
ABOUT THE MINDJACK STORY
My story was written to the “Seeds of Promise” song – I literally played it over and over again while composing a short Mindjack story set in between Open Minds and Closed Hearts. It’s a snippet of Anna’s (Julian’s twin sister’s) incarceration in Kestrel’s mindjacker prison, told from her point of view. It was so cool to dip into the Mindjack world again, especially from a POV I’d not previously written, and I think it gives a flavor of the Mindjack stories without being too spoilerish (for those who haven’t yet read the books). For now, “Seeds of Promise” is exclusively available through the Heroes of Phenomena collection!
ABOUT AUDIOMACHINE
Audiomachine is a company that writes much of the trailer music you hear on the big screen and small. I’m so impressed with the cross-media aspect of this charity project, as well as Audiomachine’s committment to helping young musicians through the LA Youth Orchestra!
ABOUT SAMANTHA GEARY
A writer herself, as well as a leader of young writers, Samantha tapped her talented youth writing group to write stories for the Heroes of Phenomena ebook. I’ve done a skype visit with these kids, and let me tell you, they are already serious writers. And they put together a fabulous fan trailer for the ebook as well:
Please take a moment to download (or purchase on Kindle) this awesome collection of stories – you’ll get an exclusive Mindjack story, a sampling of many great professional and aspiring authors and artists, and you’ll be helping fund the LA Youth Orchestra.

Ordered! Looking forward to reading Anna's story and supporting the youth group. 🙂
