Writing brings me a joy that’s… complicated. It’s hard work and yet can feel effortless. It summons up my deepest and sometimes darkest emotions, which sometimes means turbulent sleep and an emotional rawness in real life. But also catharsis and the ability to FEEL ALL THE THINGS. A simple trip to the grocery store is a wonder. Meeting someone new in the course of normal life is an opportunity to discover the whole tapestry of another person’s life.
Writing has opened my heart to the world.
I can only hope that my stories will do the same for my readers.
