I am woeful in my behind-ness with the blog awards!

Now there are rules for passing on these awards, but being tardy (also lazy), I’m going to make up my own. First, I’ll share seven things about myself (most guaranteed not to be beautiful or remotely stylish), and then I’ll pass the awards along to some bloggers that you really should add to your “Must Read” list.
Seven Things About Me (that you probably don’t know):
1) I cried like a pregnant lady while I watched Marley and Me with my mom. I am not pregnant, but I am ridiculously mushy.
2) My favorite authors (lately) are Scott Westerfeld, Holly Black, Suzanne Collins, and my twelve year old son, Dark Omen.
3) I have a Thai fish trap, a wooden Jamaican cat, and a model rocket next to my kid’s baby books on the book shelf.
4) I can’t wait for Star Trek 2, if only to see more of Zachary Quinto in pointy ears.

Congratulations on your award! Great selection of people to pass it on to. I'm excited about Star Trek 2, also! I think I liked Spock better than Kirk in this one. I was so glad he got the girl for once.

I completely understand you on #6. I wouldn't have touched the ring, either.
I can't watch movies where dogs die…weird thing about me! But my stepdaughter watched Marley and Me in the car on the way back from her grandma's house — grandma didn't realize the movie, which was marketed for children, was not really for children at all. I think there were miscarriages and someone was assaulted at one point? I just couldn't get past the deceptive advertising to watch it.

@Stephanie My mom brought Marley and Me with her – I'm not a dog movie person in general – but she cautioned not to let my boys (who love animals) watch it. Don't get me started on the deceptive advertising! Making sure parents have information about content is one of the key reasons-to-be for Ink Spells.

Oh I am soo anxious for the next STar Trek movie. I thought they did a fantastic job picking new people for our favorite old characters!
