WHY MORE MINDJACK?

I’ve made no secret about my strong feelings regarding human rights – I’ve marched for them, I’ll protest for them, and I’ll fight for them. And I do that for *everyone* not just myself. That’s in my personal life, of course, but the passion for freedom has been lifelong and has always informed my works.

The Mindjack stories, in particular, have always been about tolerance… and what humans do when confronted with The Other in their midst. I wrote the first one over five years ago, but in these troubled times, these stories have been calling to me again. I’ve been writing fast and furious, creating passionately a story that’s… complicated. The world is not simple or easy, and the fiction I’ve enjoyed most (both reading and writing) reflect that.

Writing Mindjack is my small contribution toward making sense of the world. It’s my attempt to change the narrative. I’ve always believed in the power of story to move hearts and minds, and being a storyteller, this is where I go – this is where I pour my heart.
